studies show that people who continue to take in 25-30% of their calories from fat (healthy fat!) have a higher success rate with weight loss, and are generally healthier (cardiovascularly) than those who are on low fat diets, and eat mainly carbs and protein.
fats are important in fat metabolism (go figure), metabolism support, brain function, cell function, and are often overlooked in a healthy dietary plan.
This makes me feel good about snaking on those pecans nuts and that other half of an avocado sitting in the fridge!
